ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ

Parish Life

The Chapel has a prominent position within the College environment and in the life of the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ community. It was built in 2006, designed by Dominic Old Scholar Elvio Brianese and has won at least eight awards for its unique design and architectural innovations.

All Dominic students attend regular services in the Chapel as part of their school life and we place an emphasis on students playing a significant part in these services.

ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ lies within the boundaries of St John's Parish, Glenorchy. ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ was formed from the amalgamation of St John's Parish Primary School, Savio College and Holy Name School in 1973.

There are important links between the Parish and the College and we would like them to grow stronger. St John's Parish is a community of people who want to develop a relationship with God that is relevant, meaningful and challenging in today's world.

It offers parishioners a sense of belonging as they worship God around the table of the Eucharist, grow in faith, reach out to the needy and welcome new people.

Like ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ, St John's tries to exemplify the Salesian spirit of being family oriented and having a special care for children and youth.

St John's Parish is located at 62 Bowden Street, Glenorchy. The Parish Priest is Fr Guy Riolo SDB.
